Neighborhood Watch
Jack Beaudoin

If you happen to keep your newsletters you will find the last two contained concerns about juvenile activity. During the week of April 16th we had a rash of juvenile crime in the Maytime, Crestfield and Clayborne sub-divisions. On Monday and Friday nights fires were started necessitating calls to the fire department and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights our newly poured sidewalks adjacent to Maytime were defaced by juveniles running through the concrete, etching names, profanity and pictures. The sidewalk will have to be excavated and replaced costing the HOA thousands of dollars. Fortunately the only Neighborhood Watch Captain in the three subdivision area stopped additional destruction to the sidewalk on Thursday night and discovered Friday night’s fire before it got out of hand. If anyone knows anything about these incidents please call our Property Manager, Linda Morris, at Morris Properties 833-5117 ext. 29 or me.
Below is a comparison of the Franklin Police Reports for the first quarter of 2007 to 2006. Everything is just about the same except for a substantial drop in Traffic incidents. Hopefully this means we are slowing down, a good example for our children by following the law and taking into consideration the safety of your fellow Fieldstone Farms residents.

We had two residents volunteer to become Neighborhood Watch Captains and another call after talking with her husband who attended our 16th Annual Fieldstone Farms meeting and listening to Deputy Chief J.D. Sanders of the Franklin Police Department. As he and his predecessor Deputy Chief Barnes explained Franklin is getting bigger and they need our help to help us. Being a Captain takes very little time. If you are at all interested please give me a call and/or come to a Neighborhood Watch Captain training session. If after you have listened to the presentation you choose not to become a Captain at least you will have a working knowledge of the program. WE NEED MORE TEAMS in Fieldstone Farms. For more information or if you form your team for orientation contact: Jack Beaudoin 794-6617.
