TRAILS AND PATHS
By
Jack Beaudoin

Many of us put on a few pounds over the holidays and/or made resolutions to exercise more. Several new residents want to know more about our trails and paths. Many residents who already walk, jog or run on our trails have wondered how far they have gone. Below is a chart showing the approximate length of our trails, sidewalks and paths published a few years ago. For those of you familiar with Fieldstone Farms before you look below which is the longest walk listed: Black Horse Parkway, Fieldstone Farms Parkway, Hillsboro Road (only Fieldstone Farms) or Lexington Parkway? Distances have been rounded to the nearest tenth of a mile.

All the trails circle back to the starting point so you can start anywhere on the trail and travel the same distance as long as you return to your starting point.  Or, you can combine a couple of the loops.  For example you could combine the Maytime and Crestfield loops by crossing Citation Drive and travel 1.1 miles or Clayborne and Wyndham Hill by crossing Lexington Parkway and travel 1.5 miles.  There are all sorts of combinations and as long as you return to the starting points you will have covered the combined distances.
